What Makes CREI Doctors Special?

Your CREI specialist has the training, experience, and resources to provide you with the highest level of care for your reproductive health.

CREI members must devote at least 15 years to medical training and patient care before achieving subspecialty certification.

Membership in CREI is strictly limited to specialists who have been certified in the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility by the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Although many doctors may provide care for infertility, fewer than 80 specialists have achieved the very special distinction of CREI membership.

The CREI Fellowship

The training of a CREI fellow is unique.

Your doctor must complete residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology before entering a CREI fellowship. During the three-year CREI fellowship, your specialist is devoted to understanding and treating the broad spectrum of reproductive disorders ranging from puberty to menopause. The CREI fellow learns to find the best pathway to achieve pregnancy and manage complex reproductive problems. The CREI fellow may join ANZSREI as an “Associate Member,” but full membership in ANZSREI is not allowed until subspecialty certification is awarded.

Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Subspecialty Certification

After fellowship, your physician must complete a rigorous certification process.

Your doctor must pass written and oral examinations and show an ability to manage complex problems related to Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

Once certified, your doctor may become a full ANZSREI member.

Life-Long Learning

In order to obtain subspecialty recertification, your CREI sub-specialist must continue a process of life-long learning. Your doctor must continue to be subspecialty CREI certified to be an ANZSREI member. With life-long learning and maintenance of certification, your CREI doctor is up to date!
